Maine gets close to implementing 3 Day Wait Period and makes it illegal to do Paramilitary Training in the State

I can't find the picture I just saw, but ill describe it:

It was a picture of the capital with the usual suspects holding signs about banning guns. Two of them wore masks and wrote on their signs above the text "Artists for".

I'll take how to show you are mentally ill and unemployed in one picture.

We were talking about this last night at our R&G Club and our President and another member who know Janet Mills said that she may veto the two bills. Sportsman Alliance of Maine (SAM) similar to GOAL is on it and has been pressuring Mills to veto the bills if it gets to her. Mills is not anti-gun.
Just to be clear, part of this is a bill that the Governor filed. See the specifics below.

The governor's bill, approved early Thursday, would strengthen the state's yellow flag law, boost background checks for private sales of guns and make it a crime to recklessly sell a gun to someone who is prohibited from having guns. The bill also funds violence prevention initiatives and opens a mental health crisis receiving center in Lewiston.

Depends what it says, some of that seems huh? Such as "make it a crime to recklessly sell a gun to someone who is prohibited from having guns. "

So I sold or bought it for cash from Billy Bob prior to the new bull crap laws is an angle.

Not even a carve out for permit holders. All gun owners got was an even screwing across the full spectrum and ignoring the states own constitution from our state elected officials.

Maine is getting more like Mass. every day. Been hunting and fishing there for over 50 years. You could see the anti's getting stronger for the past 20 years. Always filing bill's for anti bear hunting and trapping and now trying to change how coyotes can be hunted. My days of hunting and fishing is approaching the end. Our camp will be going up for sale next year and I have been selling off my rifles. I really enjoyed it and feel very sad for the younger generation.

My grandfather had a hunting fishing camp in northern Maine from the 60s-80s then sold it. Before my time.

My dad has had a hunting/skiing camp near Farmington since the early 80s. I was hoping to inherit or take it over once my dad is no longer capable, as a place to escape MA 😂. But I dunno now 🤪

My sister just moved to Maine about 2 years ago from MA and just recently bought her first AR and a bunch of ammo. I’ll have to let her know of this bullshit

ironically, one of their biggest arguments was that 3 day waiting periods will prevent suicides.
call me heartless but i do not believe for one second that the state (any state) should enter the suicide prevention arena.

Here’s the thing: waiting periods DO lower suicide attempts and “crimes of passion”

BUT – and this important part is always ignored by people who want to ban guns – only if the person doesn’t already own a gun, and the state doesn’t require a license to purchase a gun.

That is s very small overlap in the Venn diagram.

Nobody who already owns a gun buys a new gun to off themself or someone else.

So, when will Maine police start closing all the viper pits of paramilitary training- gun clubs? Feel free enough already, or are even freedoms coming inbound?

Truly fascinating how ruling socialists address all what truly matters, to prevent any possibility for real opposition to them. While breeding and supporting their own paramilitary branches and structures.

They’re organized and fighting a war for the future while the rest are sitting around expecting the legislatures and courts to protect our supposed rights. Unfortunately the left already got to those institutions.
