Just my quick input on the M&P. I have two. That's only because the other M&Ps I want are not MA compliant-otherwise I'd have more.
Once the trigger is fixed, it's the best plastic gun, period IMO.
The gun that is going to put all of those to shame is the new Ruger SR9c. I hear it has a new trigger that can not be retrofitted into the older SR9's, and feeds most anything well. And the SR9 felt better than most pistol to many people.
That is when/if they are ever available in this cesspool of Un-American corruption called Massachusetts, where the lowest forms of humans known to man control everything?
(where some people are willing to sell there soul's for a government check!)
You can buy an SR9c in Mass now. The SR9c with the same capacity as the Glock 26 is 1/2 inch longer, 1/2 inch taller, 1/10 inch wider, and 2-3 ounces heavier. Compared to the Glock 19 with 5 more rounds in the mag, the SR9c is the same length, 4/10 inch shorter in height, a couple of ounces heavier, and about a tenth of an inch wider.
The SR9c is also bigger in every dimension and slightly heavier compared to a S&W M&P9c, while holding 2 fewer rounds in the standard mag.
I haven't picked up an SR9c yet, but it would have to be very impressive to warrant its extra size and weight over a Glock or S&W M&P. Personally, the mag disconnect on the SR9c is enough to turn me off, but that's just my opinion.
As for mag capacity, you can't get anything over 10 rds anyway new here.
I guess the G19 I just got last year (basically LNIB) and preban 15 round mags missed the memo on that.
The SR9c is a VERY nice gun, for what it is... but it's not a G19, and it never will be.
