My son Nick,22 has been working in the shop while going to college. He makes money to pay for school, doing the grunt work in the shop. This is his first build. He came up with all the details and only needed a little help with a few machine processes. It started as a new production Colt Series 70. Has all top shelf parts including a Kart barrel and EGW bushing.
He bought the grips on line and stripped the less than smooth finish and refinished them. The herring bone pattern was all manual work on the Bridgeport. Finish is IonBond and hard chrome. He's getting his own large work area soon so he can do his own work at night.
