Won't hurt,since there is no way to tell the feds that you have built your lower into a rifle,next best thing is to tell the state.

This is what I was thinking . If you know exactly what kind of build you want why not , just fill out the FA10 as if you built it ,that way there it is a registered complete gun , and then you would have all the time in the world to build it .Unless they are going to start inspecting every build , I cant see why this wouldnt work . I have a feeling you might be right, with one caveat: it won't ease up until the actually pass a new AWB. Then, all sales will fall off a cliff the day after. If that day never comes, then people might keep up their frenzy more or less for years and years.

I just got my first AR, a pre-ban Colt Sporter, and now I'm gonna try to stock up on all the spare parts I could possibly need. I also bought a bunch of pre-ban 30 round mags. The guy that sold them to me is a police M-16 instructor in FL. I asked him and he gave me a shopping list for the spare parts it would good to keep on hand. If anyone else is looking for pre-ban mags, he has a bunch more. Let me know and I can give you his contact info.
