We have had several grizzly attacks just outside of town, most are Sows defending their cubs one was a mtb that rode into the mother. Another a local helping a hunter locate a kill stumbled on a mother and cubs on another kill and it essentially ripped his jaw off.
There are a shitload of grizzlies out here. Knowing where that attack in G.T. happened, it seems very beary and i am not surprised.

It's not the type of bear that is the issue, it's the size. Plenty of seven foot black bears. And plenty of 5 foot grizzlies.
The seven and half foot black bear I helped haul out of the mountains this fall was scary big. I would not have wanted to come up on that thing unexpected.
Both the writer and Ethan sound like idiots. "A push button, military-style holster"? And Ethan carrying FMJ's. SMH.
