A case could be made for Level 2 Retention Holsters.

”The officers attempted to take Masseur into custody, but he resisted and began to fight police. During a struggle with the two officers, a gun discharged as Masseur reached for one officer’s holster and attempted to take the officer’s service firearm. The officer’s gun fired during the struggle, striking that officer in the leg.

The wounded officer gained control of the weapon. The second officer called to his K-9 “Odin” who immediately responded to the struggle to help successfully apprehend Masseur. He was was restrained and arrested by the two officers, including the wounded officer, who remained engaged in the struggle and ultimately assisted in handcuffing the suspect before accepting medical aid.”

Meticulous arrest protocol or lack of force escalation? I’m leaning towards the latter.

If my partner sees my service weapon is taken I want him to plug the perp and we can explain the situation to our supervisor at the station.
Yes, and after you explain to your supervisor the police will investigate the police so the police can determine that the police have done nothing wrong.
Has there ever been a situation where a police shooting has been ruled unjustified in NH?

NH cops don't shoot people very often, plus the "victims" are predominantly white men, as demonstrated by every "Police Killing" website, nearly every white man shot by an American cop deserved to get shot, was usually killed in the act of attacking officers or others.

To answer the bold question above:
citizenscount said:
According to an analysis by the Concord Monitor, New Hampshire police shot 32 civilians from 2005 through 2016. The attorney general found all but three shootings were justified.

At the bottom of the article....................... " These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty. "

Wonder if he could have just used the dog first to get the suspect to be in a "co-operative" mood?
