"Clerk pulls bigger gun, foils alleged robber"

Police say as the failed robber fled, the clerk pulled the trigger, shooting a bullet that missed the man.

Heard this on the way home. On the radio they were trumpeting the police's "strong recommendation" that people not try to foil a robbery using their own gun. I kept waiting for the officer to add "..and missing".
