Well after going back and forth about 1000 times i decided to get the Sig Mosquito. I talked to a few people and from what i heard the brand new ones aren't having that many problems. They are finicky on ammo but the P22 is too. That was my 2nd choice. I ended up getting the gun at Four Seasons. Thanks to Jimmy over there for all his help!!!

Check it out i snapped a few pics. This is one of the ones with the serial number A06xxxx so its one of the newest ones out there.

It ended up only costing me about $15 more than a new P22 would so lets hope for the best. I'm really excited to try it out. I hope to have a range report soon.

Well i went to the range with it tonight. I put about 200 rounds through it total. I made sure it was oiled pretty well for the first time out.

The first 100 rounds i shot CCI Mini-Mags. With the exception of the first magazine i put through it i had absolutely no problems with this ammo. one after another 90 rounds, some rapid fire.

The next 100 i used federal 550 bulk ammo. I didn't have any more mini-mags. It was a little more finicky with this ammo which is what i figured. Its only 36 grain and i still ran the heavy spring to see what it would do. To be honest it was no more finicky than my friends P22. Out of 90 consecutive rounds i had maybe 5 that failed to feed. Again some of those rose i shot rapidly just to see if it would jam.

All in all i am happy with the gun. Now i will buy another magazine or two. I just wish they weren't $48 a piece!!!!

Put another 250 rounds through it. No real problems with the minimags. I had prob 5 FTF's but they did fire. I put 50 federals through it. Again a little more finicky but it is was ok too.

All in all i love this gun. It is extremely comfortable and I have had fun with it everytime i go to the range.

I think i am going to stock up on cci mini-mags. I found 550 packs online for $27 i think. Thats a good deal for 550. I don't think i can have it shipped here but i have a friend in VT who can buy ammo online. I'll have him buy it if i have to.

I've found I like the CCI regular ammo the best, the kind with the bare round lead bullets. That junk they coat over some of the bulk packs is terrible (American Eagle). Can't beat the price on the Federal 550 bulk of course! I've had some FTF's in those packs too that would fire on the 2nd try, but the ammo is less accurate and makes a much bigger mess. Good call on the VT friend! See how it compares to wally world prices before you do that though.

Walmart in my area and Southern, NH doesn't sell CCI bulk packs. It cost me $8 for 100 CCI mini-mags at FS. That seems about average. Federal 550 bulk is like $13 but its not as good. I would only shoot that sometimes. Mainly i use it for my .22 rifle. I really only wanna shoot jacketed ammo through the sig.

500 bulk packs of CCI mini mags online cost $27. I paid $32 + tax for 400 Saturday.
