broken Rem 870

not sure exactly what this piece is, but it's broken. i lost the small piece that broke off and need to identify what it is for a repair. could anybody tell me what it is. i'm assuming that by the way the shotgun was acting, that it has something to do with ejecting the shells.

That's the ejector, contact Remington.

Definitely the ejector

Unfortunately it's riveted to the receiver- needs to be drilled out' re-riveted, then outside finish touched-up
