I mean, with that logic, it the Patriots win on a Monday night, they have scored more points than ANY team on that Monday.
My point is: we are better than reporting something so obvious (less news the year after a huge story) as news.
One has to wonder how Fox viewership fared in the same period.

Good point. Overall for 2021 CCNās weekday prime-time viewership dropped 38 percent, Fox News dropped 34% and MSNBC dropped 25%. The networks did better, ABCās āWorld News Tonightā and the āCBS Evening Newsā both dropped 12% and NBCās āNightly Newsā dropped 14%. Just shows you that the cable news channels are more driven by politics than the networks.

They are all driven by politics, just listen to any of the nightly news shows, they were all anti-Trump propagandists. The thing you have to consider is that those drops are cumulative across all "news" organizations in the US. Fox has clawed back a lot of their loss, getting rid of most of their radical leftists has helped. Credibility for US News Media is pretty much at an all time low, most people have figured out that they are all lying propagandists, supporting the Progressive Marxist agenda, which is seriously hurting everyone but the overeducated leftist elites who are architecting the Marxist takeover of the US culture and government.

I would say ANY share that Fox "clawed back" has been the product of Biden, Biden and. . . . Biden. Just like CNN's was a product of Drumpf. Your best bet for any sort of cable attention span needs to look at least 5 and preferably 10 years into the past and see the general trend. Any given year, one way or another, is no indicator any more than picking a random July will give you an accurate protrayal of average temps in the summer for a given AO.

What I said was true, Fox is the only network that has clawed back a lot of the -34% decline following the 2020 election bullshit. They aren't back at where they were, but their direct competitors CNN, MSNBC and leftist newspapers, the other "news" aka lerftist propaganda companies kept declining after the election. I still don't watch Fox it any more, maybe Tucker once in a while.
