Colorado

It should go without saying that Colorado laws only apply in Colorado, so I can’t fathom that that is what you’re asking. To answer the question I think you’re asking, if this passes in Colorado, yes, expect other states to attempt the same.

Colorado laws only effect Colorado

Tell that to the numerous (talking to you mASSachusetts!) states that follow CARB and other California "green" initiatives.

Hell, California buys so many products that CARB compliant products are the standard, not a specialty item.

But for guns - FU Colorado.

you mean this?

I would think this would go against the already existing decision on common use guns. How would you enforce a blanket law like this for one thing when millions of these types of guns already exist in your state.

The other states passed laws that they would follow the CARB regulations.

I concur. And manufacturers changed their processes to be compliant with CARB across the country. Sometimes, state laws have federal effects.

None of the circuit courts that the anti gun Blue states are in will strike down semi auto bans, it's up to the Supreme Court to do it and SCOTUS is nearly totally feckless with 2A unless it involves handguns as it was handguns that lead to Heller, Macdonald, and Bruen.

Given the inaction on Snope, the odds of the remaining Blue anti states following in Colorado's footsteps is almost a guarantee.

When they did that for > 10 round magazines, they grandfathered mags personally owned before the ban (no requirement for in-state possession). USPSA (www.uspsa.org) had much turmoil when it initially declared the organization was going to ignore the ban at a national match they had coming up, declared there was no risk to competitors in violating it, and one of their directors coached people on how not to get caught.

It's the we have nothing to lose to pass it, And the couple of years as it goes thru the courts it's the law

Yeah, it's not like the Supreme Court is ever going to put a stay on any of these state laws that ban guns. They've time and again allowed the laws to go into effect and then sit on their ass and refuse to grant cert.

When the courts aren't willing to protect the rights of the American people then it's their duty to ignore the law and resist it as much as possible. Hopefully Polymer80 can restructure as another company and other startups can get off the ground and create a means for people to exercise their rights without permission by a repressive local government.

I was never interested in 80% lowers, but congratulations to the Wise 9 on the SCOTUS, you and the appellate courts have radicalized me with your feckless disdain for the 2nd Amendment. Everyone from farmers to gangbanging drug dealers should have at least a dozen 80% lowers.
