Thought maybe some folks would like to see this. My boyfriend owns it. His father gave it to him quite time ago. It is a K. LeFaucheux Brts - G.D.G.A. Paris, Serial # 81729, 13 millimeter, Civil War Confederate Single Action Pin Fire Revolver. It would probably fire quite well if ammo were still available. There were 1750 of them made.

That is Sweet! I just contacted some fellow cowboy shooters I know. One of them (I don't remember which one) just got his pin fire shooting again. If they get back to me I'll pass all the info on to you for your boyfriend should he want to make this pistol smoke again.
 
That thing actually looks pretty modern (other than the pinfire ignition).

I do bet that it could do some damage if you could feed it.
