Congress just put Ashli Babbitt’s killer on notice… he’s got 1 week…

He shot her with a bunch of police officers approaching from behind her.
He must have been very confident in his shot placement, either that, or he didn't give a fvck.

And did he know they were approaching behind her? Seemed like a pretty hectic situation and if she was at the door, seems pretty reasonable to assume the other layers of security had been breached and that there weren’t other officers there just watching it happen.

After watching the entire initial Jan 6 narrative unravel, I don’t know how people can still use “reasonable to assume” to justify shooting a woman.

100%. Isn’t even debatable anymore given the mountain of video evidence of cops literally opening barriers and opening doors for the “insurrectionists” and escorting/ushering them inside. Obama, Hillary, Schumer, Pelosi, Bowser and the democrats took a political protest/rally and reengineered it into something nefarious. This isn’t even debatable at this point, and anyone who says otherwise is a smooth brained democrat apologist.

He was charged with protecting the representatives in the chamber. She was apparently trying to bust through the door. He did not have much visibility beyond her.

Have you ever been charged with the security of a place and its people? Have you ever been in an extremely chaotic situation where there appeared to be an attempt by a group of people, outnumbering you, to attack those you’re supposed to protect?

No, she climbed through a broken glass case. You could see she was unarmed. She had no weapons in her hands.

That whole "insurection" was totally overblown from the get go obviously.
Puffed up by the left with the expectation that they would use it to prosecute Trump and suppress his supporters.
They refused additional support from National Guard.

Had agitators in the crowd.

Fed bois sprinkled in as well.

I watched Capitol Police pepper balling people just milling around, from a balcony well out of reach.
For no good reason other than to incite.
As others said, some police stood back and others actively engaged in a push/ pull operation.

All for political purposes.

Some still believe there can be a political solution to this battle for the soul of America.
I am not one of them.

She played stupid games and won a stupid prize.
Seriously, this shit happens this January with the liberals and half this forum would be cheering someone like this guy.
Absolute f-ing clown. I'm sure I could go through your post profile and find some f-ing gems.

100%. Watch the pushback from the bureaucracy the next four years. So called "Conservatives" with .gov jobs undermining the .gov cuts for the betterment of our country. It's going to be a shit show. 4 years isn't enough and they will "take care" of the problem so "this" doesn't happen again...

Go right ahead mr big shot.

As you do, remember this was caught on video:

GRAPHIC: The fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol was caught on video

Or, if you want a better angle:

Busting down a barricaded door of a secure facility while it's evacuating the top people in government is nothing less than f***ing around.

An UNARMED woman who he could have easily pushed her head back in the window. The guy panicked, he was known to panick.

Except of course for the part where Capitol Police let people into the building and escorted them to the areas where the "riots" happened.

We see the chairs and other obstacles stacked against the door and windows. That makes it obvious they were doing anything they could to prevent ingress and egress.

Anyone have any links to if the capitol police officer said anything like "Come any closer and I will shoot." Every video I've seen starts 3 seconds before she gets shot. Jayden X's perspective.

I see a 5 foot 120ish pound UNARMED woman surrounded by officers in full kit with M4s... All of them doing nothing while others bashed windows, etc. Yea, she was the real threat...

At 0:07 of the video you posted, there are two armed uniformed police officers standing just behind these people looking like they're waiting for someone to bring them coffee. If the cop standing next to the person who was shot looks completely unconcerned, your position seems to be somewhat of a stretch.

Look, calling Jan 6th a peaceful protest is as accurate as calling the BLM protests by day/riots by night a peaceful protest. May have started out that way but it doesn't matter how something starts once it turns to stupidity. Breaking glass and trying to bypass a barricaded checkpoint in a government building where the officer on the other side of the barricade have a gun out is screaming red STOP sign.

Anyone charged and caught stealing, breaking shit, they made their bed, lay in it. Even if you were invited in or not stopped, that doesn't mean the building became your personal rage room. Throw out all the trespassing charges, throw out all the insurrection charges. While I am sure there are some who somehow thought they were going to be able to prevent the certification of the election, these are the same people still contemplating the Earth's flatness. You can't fix stupid. They managed to delay it by 6, 7 hours?

Height, weight, gender do not play a part. Unarmed does not mean not dangerous. In a secured government building. If anyone here did something that dumb (climb through a window someone smashed out) we wouldn't be asking these questions. And she was a Air Force vet - she should understand what she was doing and the risks of doing it.

5 officers came from below on the stairway, responding to the crowd breaking down doors, and came a lot faster once the shot was fired. They were not in line of sight for the officer defending the barricade. The responding officers aimed guns down the hallway because they didn't know the shot came from one of their own. They immediately started clearing the crowd.

You are assuming the officer tucked in to the left, mostly concealed, could see as clearly as we do through barricades and broken glass.

I cannot believe there are f-ing cucks in here that said she deserved it. GTFO. The same crowd of "Just doing our jobs"

Renew that CNN/MSNBC subscription you commies.
No, this falls clearly under FAFO. There's a reason none of us would press forward towards an officer with a gun already drawn. There's a reason the front 3 guys stopped smashing the windows and warned everyone there was a guy with a gun on the other side of the barrier. As Ashli Babbitt was not hard of hearing, she actively ignored 3 different people in front of her and next to her shout "He's got a gun!". She earned a Darwin Award.
Not me. Murdering an unarmed 5’4” 120lb woman for the heinous crime of trespassing is not my cup of tea.

See the first part of the reply to pre-ban man above, and the reply to dench below.
You speak in cliches to crush liberty.

Tresspass does not equal execution, professor.
The depends entirely on where you trespass, and I've seen you post around here enough to know that you know better Dench. You force your way into a secure area, your own stupidity led you to whatever outcome awaits, the same way when someone breaks into your house, when you smoke them I won't be asking if they had a weapon or how big they were. And she wasn't executed. She took a single shot to the shoulder which she should have survived. She probably bled out before they could get her out of the building and to the hospital.
You probably believe Joe Biden earned those 20,000,000 extra "mystery votes" that showed up in 2020 only to disappear again in 2024.

Earned? Nah, the gullible centrists leaned way too left into the liberal media and ate it up. And they didn't disappear in 2024. They learned their lesson and voted R in 2024. When given a choice between 4 more years of Biden regime via Kamala, or 4 more years of Trump, the people spoke. And probably regretted their decision to vote for Biden in 2020.

The single shot doesn't sound like panic. I'd agree with your assertion if he mag-dumped.

Maybe she did play a stupid game, but the prize was way too extravagant for winning.

Just imagine if it had been a white dude and a black female and the crowd had been BLM. He would be doing life behind bars.

The double standard here is so blatant and obvious. They are straight up saying that it’s ok for cops to murder white people.

Whatever you do, don’t spend $30 on a helmet you have you f***ing retarded I think I’ll crack like an eggshell. You’re gonna let your kids do stupid shit you might wanna buy them a helmet I’d recommend you spend $300. Otherwise we run around with a concussion but they’re never gonna get over.

If you're making the FAFO case, the issue isn't what he saw, it's what she saw as she stood next to two completely relaxed officers.

But beyond that, there are two clear problems with your position above:
  • You are thus assuming that she could see as clearly as we do through barricades and broken glass.
  • You are saying the officer fired without a clear view of the situation.
Neither is exculpatory for him.

Its called use of force continuim. He used leathal force because he's a lazy hack fraud who went from presumably shouting a warning to a kill shot against a person guilty of property damage and tresspass, while said person was standing next to another police officer in the hall. Why didnt that guy shoot her instead? Because he's not a loser.

Said hallway cop rendered aide immediately, further showing there was no threat as you do not render aid in unsafe scenes.

COVID really brought out the East Germans in many instances. Been saying that since 2020 and i continue to find examples.
