Holy unconstitutional over-reaches......Congressional Dems call for mandatory gun owners insurance..mandatory fine up to 10k for failure to purchase

Liability for what exactly? If I have my car stolen and someone goes Ted Kennedy on some innocent woman, am I responsible? Why would or should it be any different for firearms?

Why would u want a island there, its still part of the USA.

Now see, I just didn't have my thinking cap on at all, you're all right.

Well, the good news is that there is no chance of this bill passing as long as the Republicans keep a large majority of the House seats... What we need to be concerned with is that Naticks village idiot Lansky is trying to impose this lunacy here in Mass at the state level... along with other gems like 25% tax on guns and ammo etc...

Yup, and they still think they're good ideas.
Progressive==Monarchist==Socialist

Socialism because tell the little people they like "communism", but "socialism" is more practical to implement first. What they don't say is that is because it leaves them powerful and wealthy while the little guy remains powerless and poor - oh so practical - FOR THEM.

I called Lynch's office in DC to let him know that the thousands of gun owners are watching him and are highly critical of this bill and his actions. He can't hide.

There is no such thing as a pro gun democrat, except maybe Brewer in this state.

Can we take that thought one step further?

Is there such thing as a Pro Liberty/Freedom Democrat anymore?

I'm inclined to say no.....ymmv

Liberalism: Ideas so good they have to be mandatory

Same - no reason to vote for him now. Certain things are deal breakers for me - this is one of them.
Nothing has changed if you were pulling the D to stop Markey, you were already making a choice of the lesser douches. Get through the primary and then do what you need to do after that.

I'm surprised rep Neal hasn't signed on yet. I think the only time I voted for someone with a D next to their name was a local election and I knew the guy was a conservative but the only way to get elected in town is to be a registered democrat.

I can forgive and forget - however a current vote that sticks a knife in me, he's done.

No argument but I can't bring myself to put my vote next to any idiot that can co sponsor legislation like this, no matter what the goal of said vote is.
and all the other crap he did and was going to do was just dandy? [laugh]

I understand your principle when it comes to your final vote, but in determining which Democrat best represents you (an already flawed premise), I don't get your principled outrage?

It all sucks but I already voted for Lynch with an absentee ballot. I still want him to win the Dem primary. I will not vote for him in the June, final election.

We still need to kill Markey at the polls.

Don't worry. Just show up at the polls and vote anyway. You've got the right party ballot for that sort of thing.

But But But I was told the Democrats are the Peoples Party! and the Republicans are the true criminals here who want to take my Guns and Tax and Spend.

The TV said so. **** off already with the insurance thing. See this isn't about safety at all, its about MONEY! one way or another all they want is Dollars, especially in this Pathetic shit hole of a State.

I already have Liability insurance you ****en Dopes its called Homeowners insurance. Gee I wonder how many criminals are gonna sign up for this? 0 that's how many.

Exactly right. Insurance doesn't make anyone "safer." It's just another way to screw over gun owners. It prevents people from exercising their right unless they have deep pockets.

If insurance actually increased public safety then the state should require criminals to carry "thug liability" policies. Considering the clowns that get elected to public office we should require voters to carry a liability policy.

I am so GD tired of being the whipping boy for the criminal actions of others. Take your insurance proposals and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.

Let's think about this. They want insurance to be held by people who pose a risk to society -- not actual criminals, but people who pose a special risk of doing something criminal. But which members of society pose the most risk? It's not NRA members and gun owners who follow laws. So who is it? Perhaps we should have bonding or insurance requirements for women who are high school dropouts and likely to produce socially maladjusted and violent offspring. Or maybe we could have special insurance requirements for those ethnic groups more associated with criminal activity. These ideas are, of course, incredibly offensive. And so is the idea that I should endure the same.

This is exactly what they want. I do belive it will end in bloodshed at some point, if they keep pushing us.

Which is exactly what they want. If we attack, even in self-defense, it will be shown "how violent gun owners are!", and if we do not, we lose our rights. What is the third option?

Better to die on ones feet for what you believe and know is right than to let them take it from you with no resistance.
