I've had two Nagants in the past, but really wanted a non-refurbished example. My first choice would have been Imperial, but I'd settle for inter war. Found this nice piece on one of my other forums. Condition about 90+%, very good bore, matching numbers. I've some clean PRIVI ammo to try it with, but the range is under nearly two feet of snow right now. I also have a full holster rig with lanyard, spanner, and cleaning rod coming all the way from Russia. Seems none are available on eBay in the U.S. (?)

Actually when taken into German service on the Eastern front, it was called the revolver 612(p). I needed a non-refurbished one. Two other NES members have my first two; 1906 and 1912.

7.62x38R - .30 caliber. Surplus ammo is 110gr, new PRVI is 90gr. As you probably know, the cylinder moves forward, pushing the leading 1mm edge of the cartridge into the breech and sealing the chamber to increase velocity. Velocity is about 830 fps., same as the .45 acp., but half of the 230gr mass.

They are also either the only (or one of the exceedingly few) revolvers that can be suppressed, owing to its design.

Finally got to the range briefly today. It was so windy....

(....How Windy Was It....)

....it was so windy the target was flipping over 90 degrees and I had to time my shots to hit when it was perpendicular.

....it was so windy, I think the bullets were slowed by 100fps.

Mostly high and right. Distance about 50 feet with new PRVI 98ge FMJ/RN. Minimal recoil. I merely had to tip the revolver up, and the empty cases fell out. For those that didn't a little finger touch caused them to fall out. I did not have to use the ejector once.

Three of the blacks came in the last set of 7.
