Deals and steals

For Dune fans, both of the newest movies for $7.
Amazon.com

I'd pay triple that for them to keep the Part II. I get the whole pandemic thing. But damn. Maybe cut a bit more in the first film and end it a bit later in the story to be able to fit more into the second film. I've read Dune probably 4-5x in my life and even I was having trouble keeping up.

I fell asleep twice. Took me 3 nights to watch the movie.

We enjoyed the first, and the second was fine, though they changed some plot elements a little. I think that will have more effect on the next film than it did this one. The one issue for us was watching it on AMZ streaming where for some wild reason they both hardstamped the captioning for the made-up languages AND triggered (whether you had captioning on or off) captioning of the same dialog. Ate a lot of screen. I gather they fixed that recently.

This is a good deal if you need a cordless palm sander.

$199 ($359) Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless 5 in. Random Orbit Sander with (1) 5.0 Ah, (1) 2.0 Ah Battery and Charger.

I also had an additional 10% off coupon code with my HD credit card.

They did have a deal at the same price for the tool and two 5.0Ah batteries, without a charger. That was good for folks like me who already have Milwaukee tools/charger, but unfortunately that deal has ended. I really should have jumped on it earlier in the week when I saw it.

That is OK, I need a palm sander, which sells for $129 for the tool only, so this way I essentially got two batteries and a spare charger for $70.

Thanks, picked one up :)

Until July 17th Amazon Prime video is doing add-on subscriptions for various premium channels for $0.99 a month for two months (cancel any time).

I subbed to Starz and Cinemax. I will cancel before the first full price bill posts in two months time.

You can cancel ahead of time. When it runs out, it's just over

Yeah, two months ago I went to cancel the MGM+ add-on (because their only decent series are over) and Amazon said, "Hey wait how about $0.99 for two months instead." I agreed just in case anything appeared. It didn't and I canceled it tonight, but it will continue to be available until the last day of the billed month.

If you haven't already seen the series "Billy The Kid", on MGM+, I highly recommend it.

Do they nerd out on his gunplay?

Billy was like the michael jordan of his time... curious if they capture that
Not really. In fact, I think all of the "gunplay" seemed quite realistic to me, with some very cool old rifles and pistols, and almost as much rifle usage as there was pistol.

I don't know how much of the details of the series is factual or not, but I'm quite shocked at how Billy is portrayed; I had no idea!
