Deals and steals

Stupid question: Any problem or weirdness putting an Aero M4E1 upper (from Schuyler) on a fairly generic forged AR15 lower? Will it look right? Or is that a terrible mismatch? I don't have a matching Aero M4E1 lower and too late now to obtain one without paying post-8/1 crazy money. 🤔
you will be fine, I have an Aero Upper on my AWS Zombie lower and it fits great.

truly depends upon to a degree of how far from a generic spec such lower would be. ar15s are fairly standardized dimensions wise, so, let`s say, it would be uncommon to experience a lot of issues. aero lowers have some nice features that makes them worth the extra - an adjustment bolt to remove wobbling of the upper, and some other minor but very nice things.

ps. i keep forgetting about post 8/1 thing. yeah, it is a new world now, until prices will settle.

Yeah, the Monstrosity anti-2A law changes everything in terms of the affordability of lowers... especially if you have one particular lower in mind. ☹️

are they all fake replicas there, or real ones?
Fakes. Some are decent, however. I bought a custom version of the Bugout with carbon fiber scales and a damascus blade. Looks like the real deal, the damascus is real, and it holds a razor edge for a LONG time. I think it would be ~$350 if legit but I paid 10X less. It's been a damn good knife and works well for pocket carry in dress pants for work.

+1 for the fake HALOs.

I was a legit microtech dealer. I got a clone halo. It’s pretty damn good!

A real Damascus for $20-$30 sounds a bit too much good to be true. Dunno. If I would get one I would always have double thoughts.
I have several legit chinesiums with d2 blades, cheap but functional. None hold edge too long, but easy to sharpen again.

I like that launch 17 I got, good design and a $100 is no big deal.

Figures. Some show having d2 steel blades, so may not be complete crap.

But, a fake knife jewelry is just too much. :)
Don't trust what they say, I bought a knockoff Benchmade OTF few years ago and it claimed it had s30v steel. XRF testing showed it's actually 420 stainless. I'm not mad for the $15 I paid for it.

Just gonna leave this here.

Outdoor clothing company Sitka has apparently pissed off its biggest distributor EuroOptics, who is now cutting their prices by 30% off everything Sitka, liquidating it all and will no longer carry their line.

Not gonna lie...i try and buy american where possible.

But especially with expensive knives i want a cheap one first. Nothing worse than dropping a few hundo and hating the knife

Luckily i traded my serbenza but lesson learned if it costs over 250 i buy a knock off first.. then after a month the real deal

I just bought a 1301 mod2 from mfs on Saturday. $1650 plus tax on a colored model. The black one was $1600 I believe. Their in-store prices are cheaper than their advertised online prices by a decent margin.
