Want a new carry gun without the Glock prices? Get a S&W M&P45c, great gun and is MA Compliant. Just be prepared to install the Apex DAEK kit. It's G19 sized and carries well.
Unless it's SAO, in which case there is an eternal safety and no decocker. No external safety on a 226 -- decocker only.

I carry a Sig P228 with a p226 15rd preban. Gun is very safe to carry with one in the pipe and extremely accurate and dependable. The p229 will take the 226 mags if you use the Xgrip base plate
$750 for a gen 2 glock! Holy sh!t thats f@ckn expensive!!!
While I would love a Glock 19, It isn't readily available in MA (to my knowledge) and the ones that are, are Gen 2/ Gen 3 (if you are lucky). I'd also like an external safety, as this is my first handgun.
So in other words, here is the criteria I am following for:
1. Able to be carried concealed.
2. Has preban mags available.
3. Decent quality.
4. External safety (as this is my first handgun)
ThisI started by carrying a revolver, only safety is your head and hand - way less to worry about. Additionally, you don't have to worry about FTF or jams extraction issues. This is some loss in round count, but my thinking is 5 was enough.
Sliderlock or some shit will fix that safety issue thing.
