I guess my earlier comments woke everyone up.
I am pleased to hear there are young shooters out there.
I still believe we, as gun owners, are in big trouble. I believe the $100.00 fee for a FID is a huge hindrance to many beginners. Shooting is not an inexpensive sport, and an entrance fee, before you really know if you are going to fall in love, probably keeps many from that first step.
Hunting in Massachusetts has fallen off and many towns in the metro-west area prohibit any hunting with a firearm. Hunting used to be what motivated people to start in the shooting sports. When I was a kid, most everyone owned at least a shotgun to keep rabbits out of the garden and all my friends had a .22 at their disposal.
I am as mystified as LenS about Senor Frog’s attitude comment. What attitude? Of all the gun clubs I think BR&P is one of the best pure shooting clubs around.
To LenS comment about younger shooters on the weekend; I shoot week days due to my strange work schedule. Week days it’s just us old guys.
