Slept on AR-15 accessories & parts?

..Bring the sight to your eye, not your eye to the sight.
100%

I would add that one wants the centerline of the optic or sight as close to the bore centerline as possible, assuming there is clearance for the bell end of an optic, clearance for the gun to function, and one's natural line of sight lines up properly.

I got to watch a friend forget about height over bore a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, the only casualty was a stage barricade.

Sorry, I didn't mean mounting optics. I meant mounting yourself to the gun.

This whole "scrunching" to the stock thing makes me sad...someone in a shooter's past failed them when I see/hear it.
Yeah, if you really have to scrunch into a gun to get behind the sights or the optic that does kind of suck. Like I said for me, solid weld basically the weight of your head on the comb of the stock , for the AR I’m right up on the charger handle with my face, my eye as close to the aperture as I I can, but like I said, my eyes still a little low let alone mounting a scope that’s even higher.

In the end, it’s all up to the end User what they like what’s comfortable and if it delivers results that you want

No true operators in here I see. Pic rail mounted sauce holders are a must. Not my design or picture.

LOL I've seen less useful attachments on AR's.

Speaking of buffer retaining pins, I like the Forward Controls, beefier retaining pin. Never had a mil-spec one break on me, but it’s worth the peace of mind for a few bucks.

They definitely do break but depends on what weight buffer you’re using in spring but it’s possible on the G.I. ones
