Replacing the thumbhole stock on my MAK90 seemed like a great idea 3 hours ago.
So did that 1.6mm receiver, but alas, I am filing (and filing ...) away at my new KVAR composite
stock. Whew! Hopefully I will get some pics up soon. I still have to get the
new upper hand guard fully turned on. The last 1/4" is killing me. It just
won't turn. Probably need to try a vise.

I had that same problem with my composite front... Guess what I had to do... Yep, I had to file it down some!

I used the dremel for a few spots, but man, does that thing take off
plastic in a hurry. I had visions of gouges all over!I finally got the butt
in (took off a lot of plastic). Just need to figure out what to do with the
upper hg. I have a TDI-like grip for it and it fits my hand soooo much better
than the classic grip (even if it looks a bit goofy).
