Fired the SuperMagnum today.

Took my 357SuperMag to the range today.

I loaded a .38spl, a .38spl +p, a .357mag, and a .357max.

I fired one round each in that order.

pop! it felt like a .22 in a heavy rifle

POP ! it felt like a .22 in a light rifle

bang ! felt like firing a regular .38 in an average size .38 revolver, maybe like my model 66

POW ! Wicked pissah noise and recoil !!!

I loaded the same for my son to shoot and I stood beside him as he shot. When he fired the last round the air movement that hit me was tremendous.

I was shocked at the noise and recoil and blast !

Since I can't afford a .500mag, this is about the next best thing...it is the same size !

Now I've gotta get some more ammo or start reloading !

Thats awsome, .357 is my favorite but I have not even see a max let alone shoot one. Keep having fun for the rest of us.

Also were you able to buy the .357 max round or did you have to load your own?

The brass is listed on Remington's site, but not the ammo. I found a place that has ammo listed but is temp out of stock. Even when they have it, it's over $1/rnd.

This thing is .357 in name only. Believe me when it's touched off, you know you're not shooting a .357...even if it technically is one.

The gun came with 6 rounds, just eough to try it, now I've got to figure where to go from here.

Where can I find ballistics info on .357Max? Sounds wild!

Don't know how good this info is and there is only a little bit, but it gives you an idea. But I think you can load them even harder then these numbers.
