A little girl was shot dead while playing outside her apartment in Chicago by a man who lived on her block on Saturday.

Sarabi Medina, eight, was playing on her scooter with her father outside her apartment in Portage Park, Chicago, when she was approached by a gunman and shot in the head at 8.40pm.

She was preparing to start fourth grade at Reinberg Elementary School when she was gunned down in the 'completely unprovoked' attack. Her mother was also killed by gun violence in 2018.
