Heard back from a few of my students:
...
New Bedford: LTC-A Sporting restriction.

No problem! All in all BPD is easy to deal with. If you do some research on here you can find out what you need in order to obtain a unrestricted license its tough... but completely possible , unlike what some people would want you to believe. The moon island test is a pain in the ass but the officers give you a completely fair shake and are good guys at the range.
Is it required to take the moon island test even if you don't want to conceal carry? Just curious I will for sure go for it but I was just wondering if it's a requirement because you are applying through BPD.
I'm sorry if this has already been covered. Does anyone know what's going on with Framingham these days? I heard it's gone from green to very red. I live in Grafton now but am moving to Framingham on March 17. Grafton definitely green. Any recommendations? Should I apply for my first-time LTC in Grafton and hope I get approved before the move, then transfer it to Framingham?
Interview on Dec 6th, 2012.
LTC-A License issued 01/15/13
Received on 2/11/13
Restriction: "Sporting"
Town: Wayland
Not sure why it's considered a "Green" town.

Historically they have been a green town. I wonder what changed.
I requested no restrictions and this is my first LTC.
> 50Do you mind if I ask your age? Have you ever had any run-ins with the law (not just arrests, but instances where they have ran your name for one reason or another)? Excessive traffic tickets?
Don't suppose it could hurt to ask for a straight-forward explanation of why they restricted your license. Maybe the chief or the LO knows someone who knows someone you cut off on the highway once...> 50
No tickets since probably 5 years at least ...
Asked for alp in my letter.

how often is this list updated?
How is Boston metro not on the list (Brighton/Allston)? Are we just assuming these areas are dark red?
I copied the list of the town names form another site. Do Brighton and Allston apply through Boston, or are they on their own?
Allston, Brighton, East Boston, etc., are all just neighborhoods of the city of Boston. They apply at Boston PD. Boston is red.
