Surprised I didn't see this posted yet.
Mark Bouchard, owner of Westport’s Shooting Supply on State Road, says he has a stack of unpaid business bills and no new revenue to offset them.
Michael Skidmore, owner of Fall River’s Troy City Tactical on Borden Street, hoped to celebrate his business’ four-year anniversary this month with promotional deals and sales for customers.
Instead, Skidmore, Bouchard, gun shops in Woburn and Barnstable, and state gun groups have filed a lawsuit against the state and each owner’s respective municipal police chief. Locally, Westport Police Chief Keith Pelletier and former Fall River Police Chief Albert Dupere are named as defendants.
The lawsuit comes a week after gun stores were declared nonessential by Gov. Charlie Baker and forced to shut down during the coronavirus pandemic.
