I'm a constituent of yours from Charlton, and I've previously written
you regarding H2259. I'm relieved to see that H4102 was released with
an "ought not to pass" recommendation, and I'm hoping that this now
provides a better chance for H2259 to pass.

I'm not usually a Jay Severin listener, but a friend mentioned that he
was talking about H4102 yesterday and I tuned in. It might be helpful
in getting your bill passed if you contacted him to do even just a
short explanation of what H2259 proposes and point out the fact that
this would be doing something helpful. After yesterday's program, the
unfavorable release of H4102, and the previous comments from both
sides of the aisle that we need to "do something," the stage is
definitely set to point out that while H4102 is doing something in a
harmful way, H2259 would be doing something in a much more effective
way.

I'm still boggled. Coyote, you know that GOAL has like, 5 employees, right? They don't bring in a whole lot of money. There are a LOT of gun owner's in this state that DON'T belong and a lot more that do but never bother donating anything more then their yearly dues.

You post a lot about GOAL should do this and GOAL should do that etc etc etc ad nauseum. I hope you're at the least putting your money where your mouth is. IIRC, GOAL is having board elections soon. You've a lot of good ideas, why not get directly involved instead of sniping on an internet forum.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone to keep calling/emailing/mailing your reps next week. I actually received a call today from Rep Hill stating that he fully supports H2259! That's the first time **anyone** has ever called back...I wish he were in my district. He couldn't comment one way or another as to the chances of this advancing, but said a lot of people had been calling so keep up the good work! Emails went out today and more calls Monday.
