E mails sent, along with an e mail to the moron from Channel 5.
Sent an email to Brewer pointing out that now would be a great time to embrace the power of talk radio to get this passed. (I'm SURE that Severin would take that call...)Looks like most are sending emails, please take the time to make phone calls, they can ignore/delete emails, not so much phone calls.
Senator Brewer,
I'm a constituent of yours from Charlton, and I've previously written
you regarding H2259. I'm relieved to see that H4102 was released with
an "ought not to pass" recommendation, and I'm hoping that this now
provides a better chance for H2259 to pass.
I'm not usually a Jay Severin listener, but a friend mentioned that he
was talking about H4102 yesterday and I tuned in. It might be helpful
in getting your bill passed if you contacted him to do even just a
short explanation of what H2259 proposes and point out the fact that
this would be doing something helpful. After yesterday's program, the
unfavorable release of H4102, and the previous comments from both
sides of the aisle that we need to "do something," the stage is
definitely set to point out that while H4102 is doing something in a
harmful way, H2259 would be doing something in a much more effective
way.
Thanks for your time,

Is the mail list the same as the previous one? Committee on Public Safety?
It would be even better if they listed the telephone numbers. Now I have to look up each and every one of them.
go to this page http://goal.org/regulationpages/h2259.html
Scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page to where the Committee Members are listed, their names are linked. Click their name, it brings you to their informational page that has their phone number. Call the number and speak. Click back arrow, go to the next person down, repeat process. Hope that's not to difficult for you.
It is quite time consuming, though not difficult. Multiply that times all the GOAL members who also have to do that and it is a tremendous waste of time whereas it would take one person (whoever made the link) a few minutes to save potentially hours of time for GOAL members collectively. Like I said, just a friendly suggestion.

So when you get the phone numbers, type them into a post... just like other people did in this thread, rather than asking someone else to do it.

I received an alert saying at this point the votes were 4-4. Is it public record who voted for and against?
