Hunter from NY

A friend of mine, who is from upstate NY and has hunted and has in FID in NY for many years now,. Well, now he lives in South Boston and is trying find out how he will be able to hunt in Mass this year. I don’t think the hunting license will be a problem, but how can he bring his shotgun into the state to hunt with it?

If he has a valid MA hunting license he is all set.

If he is now a MA resident, he will need to obtain at least an FID card to possess the gun, and hunt with it. Nonresidents can hunt in ma without a nonresident permit as long as they have a valid nonresident hunting license.
