So I figured I'd take some "quick and dirty" photos of my newly acquired guns going back to September.

First up is a Colt 1911 Government Series 70 in Nickel. I actually picked her up today. My intentions were to pick up a Colt 1911 circa 1918 U.S. Army but I realized that I just wouldn't want to shoot it as much as I'd like to. I'm looking for a shooter... not a safe queen. This nickel plated beauty was in the display case... and I swear I saw it wink at me... so I snatched it up instead. [smile]

Next up is a S&W 686 3inch CS-1 issued to the U.S. Customs Service. The shop actually mislabeled it as a 2.5inch plain jane 686... and consequently under priced it by a good $250-300. [shocked] So... what was I supposed to do?! [wink]

A few months ago... in the same shop that I found the CS-1 in... I saw a 9mm 2-tone Sig 239... and it's one of those guns that just fits my hand. There's something nice about the Sig single stack 9mm's.

Lastly... is the poor man's Sig. The 9mm P225. It's in great condition... and like the single stack 239... it just fits my hand. I shoot it well... and it might be my favorite Sig.

I like your new wheel gun

Please tell me which shop under-prices. I'd like to go there today ;-)

Thanks guys! [grin]

So... I've never felt a Sig short trigger. Does it make a huge difference?

No way! I'm keeping this secret for myself! [smile]

Nice guns and, as usual, great photos. BTW, because of your photographic skills, did I tell you that I hate you![wink]

Hey... all you have to do is drop all of your guns off at my place... give me... oh... a few months with them... and I'll take some snazzy photos of them for you. And I'll need a few months ... to you know... process the photos... get them JUST right for you [wink]

NICE.

I am so Jonesing for a 1911.

Do it. Scratch that itch!

yeah... I definitely don't like the grip safety... but I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the controls just yet. I may just replace the slide stop, thumb safety, and grip safety to something else. I'll have to weigh my options.

The hard part is all of the controls out there are either blue or stainless... I can't find any nickel controls to buy. [thinking]
