I just can't buy a Glock.

I HAVE carried a 4" Webley .455, yes, but never all that much. I just did it a couple of times to say I'd done it.

My usual carry before the G17 was a BHP, full-size. Which carried really well, and so did the 1911s I carried before that. But I really do notice the weight difference. And it's nice, when carrying compact, to have a G26 with eleven rounds, that I shoot really well, instead of my former P938 or S&W snubbie.
Interesting. Do you prefer the g26 over the p938 because you shoot it better or because of the extra mag cap?
My only plastic gun is a g27 which I shoot surprisingly well. Thinking about something compact and 9mm due to the cheaper Ammo.
Never tried a p938. Didn't care for the grip on the 365. But I despise panic shopping. Btdt.

I like my 938 an awful lot. I had a 238 before those came out, and I liked that too; I usually ankle carry it. I shoot it well enough, but I shoot the G26 even better. One thing I MUST have on a 938/238 is a Hogue overmolded finger grip, which compromises its compactness a little bit. But I could never feel like I was getting a good grip on the factory panels.

Never fired a 365, and I'm not a .40 guy. I was a .45ACP guy for many years until I started reloading, and now I can do my own 9mm SD loads for pennies. So I don't see a downside to 9mm.

Is it pre or post CZ? I'm not panic buying anything this week, but I've always wanted a specialist and this bill is looking like the kick in the but I needed.
It's probably 2018, 19? I forget. It was pre covid. Sadly the guns have gotten more pricey now, but its still a good deal for a hand fitted gun not polluted with mim garbage. The killer deals with DW were the stainless 1911s that cost about $1200 but those days are looooong gone. :(

ETA: the VZ operator grips were a bit much.... so i put a set of frags on mine.......

I should have researched before I asked but I found out DW was bought in 2005. At least it was CZ and not Remington or some other crap. The build quality of my CZ's wouldn't make me hesitate on a 1911 from them. Unfortunately you're right, prices are way up, my local guy wants 2500 for a specialist, beggars can't be choosers at the moment 😕 I think it might be my one panic buy, at least the new ones are optic ready.
