If you could only have one gunsmithing book...

"The US M1911/M1911A1 Pistols" by Jerry Kuhnhausen.

I only have volume 2, but for me there's more info than I'll probably ever need to know.

Kuhnhausen is the book to get. Realize, though, that having the books and a set of punches will not make you a gunsmith.

Pfft... everyone knows that the only tool that a master gunsmith will ever need is a Dremel and a decent set of carbide burrs, grinding stones and cut-off wheels.

I should know... I'm a WECSOG (Wile E. Coyote School of Gunsmithing), graduate. [smile]

Too true... Too true... but I like to know about the services I'm buying, what they involve, and what's available.
