Back when I bought my second carbine Ray posted this on the THREAD.
I don't know... [thinking] I don't see an 03A3 in there anywhere.

[laugh] Nice pic, I just know you need one and like a drug dealer I'm hoping to corrupt you further.[smile]

My corruption is complete. Today I brough this home from the Willmington Show. Now I need to find a larger wall for a new family photo.

Yeah, but Pete, how long before it ends up in the Classifieds? [smile] [wink]

Hopefully never. I've sold other stuff to buy the miltary stuff. The problem is I really don't have much other stuff anymore.

There was a time though when it seemed like I only rented guns.

Lets see what else he posts after he gets back from the show today. [wink]

Nice pick-up on the 03a3. I got one in a trade last month from 1903Collector and I haven't been able to get to the range to try her out yet. I should of went to the range yesterday. Hummmm, day may be the day. [smile]

I saw that yesterday and wondered who'd leave with it.

Like Ken (USMA 82) said to me one time... I'm always happy to spend your money.[smile]

bcd 4

I did see a really nice K98 at the Wilmington show, a bcd (Gustlofwerke) made in 1944. Every visible part matched including all the external bolt parts. I didn't see down the barrel. Finish/condition was consistant with an original bring back. I took the guy's card; a fully matching K98 for $475 seems really good and worth a second look when I have the $$. The only flaw was the swastikas had been lightly and exactly peened out of the eagle's talons.

I saw quite a few original K98s at Wilmington, more than any other show I've been to lately.
