KAG ARMS at the MILL, Prices Are Awesome

The Mill used to be the place to go for guns until last fall. Ever since the new law went into effect, I saw a number of new gun stores spring up in my area, often with very competitive prices. Can anyone explain the attraction of the Mill today when compared to, say, a local gun shop?
I personally have never seen a shop with better pricing than certain dealers in The Mill. I bought a 1911 at The Mill a couple of years ago , and the shop 2 miles down the road from my house had the exact same one for $300 more. I'll gladly make the 30 minute ride to save $300 , and there's some great guys in there to do business with.

REPORTED!!!

Ban!

Some of the best dealers are there hands down. They did what most would not.

Plus the information from them is invaluable!!!

I impulsively bought a gun recently outside of the mill. I paid too much. Got a holster that I hate and the dealer would not take it back even unused.

so f*** them. Full price. BS and stuck with a $60 holster.

My fault for cheating on the mill.

Nice try, Carl.

This, there are great people that will steer you in the right direction, Sherif (KAG Arms) is a wealth of knowledge, yes it may not be closest to home, yes you may have to wait in line, but have a conversation when you aren't sure about something, he won't tell you to buy something that doesn't fit your wants or needs just to make a sale, I can't tell you the number of times he told me not to buy something because I should think about it, or it didn't fit what I like or was looking for

I genuinely steer everyone I can to the mill.

I was weak, impulsive and I paid a high price. That’s on me.

I've seen him direct someone to another dealer based on what they were asking about. The Mill is a family that knows each other. Also you can can engage in a conversation or ask questions at the mill shops that other shops may not enterain.

I haven't bought a gun anywhere but the Mill in almost a decade. Not only are the dealers fantastic, I've turned some of them into good friends. 99% of people I've run into there have been nothing but great folks, and chatting with them really made the 2hr wait times during certain months fly by. Not only that, but I can't imagine another gun shop exists where my wife can befriend one of the owners, and talk home renovation design while they help process NFA docs/prints (thanks Sam). Both HSC and the Mill are an hour from me, and I'll make the drive 10/10 times for those two places.

Haven't posted on NES before but wanted to write about my visit to @KAG Arms on Wed. Got a great deal from Sherif on a new Sig, but the box only had two of the three mags advertised. Sherif called Sig direct and got them to ship another mag free of charge. Would have been happy with the purchase even if the three mags advertised was a mistake - it was already a great deal but Sherif went above and beyond to make it right. Awesome experience and awesome dude.

The only problem with going in to there is that it's never a quick stop. Even a basic transaction turns in to an hour long conversation with him and whoever is hanging around in the shop.

It's always a great conversation and you don't realize it's been an hour already and you're late to pick up your kid from something. So plan accordingly.

For a couple years, it seemed like the only game in town in here. I went there back then once or twice. Kind of a long drive.
yes. I've sent a lot of folks there. Went there myself a bunch of times too. They always had good selection. It was the selection that was the main attraction. I haven't been back in about a year, thus my original query: what is the current attraction to the mill? Is it just the prices?

I was talking about 4S. "The Mill" is the new 4S on here. Nice enough people overall, but the hours and distance never really worked well for me, so I don't bother much any more.

Considering hopefully the normal person Works Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm. I'm interested in that normal person because they hopefully are earning a decent paycheck so they have the disposable income to spend at the mill, and its impossible do go from anywhere to anywhere in MA between 4 - 6 pm. Outside Saturday 9 am - 2 pm and Sunday 1 pm - 4 pm, what hours do you suggest I add to my opening hours? And what is the marginal utility of adding those hours?

Now this is how a proper business person thinks.

I used to hate when the closest gun store to me was open something like 10am-5pm M-F, afternoon on Sat and closed on Sundays.

So many times I wanted to stop by after work and couldn't.

The store in Dedham got a bunch of business from me because they are open until 7pm. Even though I lived like 10min from them, it was hard to go during business hours.

However, I prefer the Mill.

LOL ... 4S is not about the hours or distance.

4S is about the other 100 things that are retarded about them and almost none of those exist at the Mill.

It's not you, it's me. You're doing just fine. I do a lot of stuff around home on Saturday mornings, and just run out of time after lunch to make it there. I've connected a few times, and missed out others. Sundays, I don't feel like driving around, or would rather not be shopping on the downside of the weekend. Oh well. No complaints here.

That is what she said.
