I had PM'd Sharif about getting a Ruger Vaquero and I gave him what configuration I wanted it in. He said OK and that was that. I thought about sending a message the next day asking if it came in but I held off. By the 3rd day I was going to call and ask about it but my Phone battery died so I didn't get the chance. I had lost all hope by Friday and was ready to wash my hands of the whole thing when all of the sudden, I received a message telling me that it came in. I was so relieved that I ended up throwing out the Valium that I got to cope with not knowing when it was coming in. (actually it only took a few days)😁
Made a road trip to the Mill this morning and got there right after Sharif opened. We chatted a little bit while getting things filled out but I forgot to ask about some shotgun that was ordered last week and never picked up. Another happy purchase and I know what I want next but have to hold off until tax return. When I'm ready I'll give Sharif a PM but won't check in every day asking if it came in.
Thank you again Sharif.
Of course the boys had check out what I brought home.

Yup. That is how (demi)Gods operate - you ask with humility and sincerity and there is no answer... until there is one usually after your fate and hope has veered off a bit.

What you describe is par for the large desert sand creature's way of doing things.
