LEOSA police advocacy group is suing RI, AG Neronha, over concealed carry law.

Once you're retired, you're retired. You're not LEO, you shouldn't be getting advantages to your former station.
The arugment is "danger from their former job", but compare that to the danger faced by a non-guilty 110lb 30ish woman built like a masonry restroom walking alone in public at night.

“Oh your mom has cancer? f*** you, now you know how I feel. My mother died of cancer. Serves you right!”

I know the rationale, I just have a hard time getting past:

Get a restraining order like the rest of us. Seriously if they're that much of a danger they're a danger to public too. No reason why these guys need to be in a special club.

More like "Oh, you lost your privileged access to a cancer cure that is denied to my family because we are not connected and you mother died, now you know how I felt when my mother died and we knew a cure existed".

This. In MA it means different gun rights and access to many millions a year in detail money, normal citizens are barred from accessing thru employment because they aren’t privileged.

Cops call it jealousy,

Citizens simply call it unfair and unconstitutional.

Then cops wonder why no one wants to back the blue.
