M4 Feed Ramps

Personally, I used an automatic center punch to restake my RRA carriers. It may not be the prettiest job, but it holds the screws tight.
To the OP: have you considered buying a BCM upper - they can be had for about 425 new (no BCG) BCM midlength upper and making it MA compliant?
BCM is regarded as one of the top manufacturers right along with Colt, Daniel Defense, and LMT among the few.
Here is a ballpark figure (it's a rough estimate, with no shipping, etc):
BCM upper - 425
Make MA compliant - 100
BCG - 150
Lower - 300
Total: 975

Something to consider....

Plus charging handle plus rear sights plus handguards adds $200+.

I know about this... I just ordered one.

Thanks for the head up, but I did look into building an AR using BCM parts. It will take me well over 1k dollars to complete the build. All the items you mentioned plust the complete lower, making the lower MA compliant, shipping etc. I just dont have 1k + dollars to spend on an AR.

For under 1K I'd buy a rifle kit from Model 1 Sales, keep the BCG that you get from them in the parts box, order an LMT BCG, get a stripped lower and some new trigger/hammer springs from some other source, and then spend the remaining $300 on optics. The BCG is the heart of a reliable AR.

Remsport still has some complete bolt carrier groups available at the NES special price. These are Mil-spec and complete with properly staked keys.
Only $128.00

BCM M-16 FA BCG's are milspec, MP and HP tested, properly staked and have the extra mass of a FA carrier. They are quite simply, a proper BCG - especially in a short-tube AR/M4...It's the best $135.00 one can spend when building an AR...I have personally dropped this BCG into at least three different peoples rifles that were having problems and imagine that - the problems, (all but 1), melted away...

Remsport's BCG's are mil-spec MP and HP tested and properly staked and are supplied to many upper end companies that sell them under their own name.
And still only $128.00 while supplies last.
The AR and 1911 world is very small and most companies only resell under their name and manufacture nothing or very little they rely on the Remsports of the world to do the work for them.

Got any pics of your BCGs?

I think most BCGs are hand-assembled... and LMT, Colt, etc use top notch parts.

Not to burst your bubble, but a mil-spec LMT BCG is all you will ever need.

Looking at Denny's, it looks like he uses CMT bolts. CMT normally makes good parts, but I've that their MP testing isn't as thorough (only a few per batch).
