Decided to take a trip to Kittery on Sunday with the girlfriend to spoil myself, (housewarming present for my move to NH!) [smile] Came out with this:

It's a browning buckmark bullseye stainless [grin], unfortunately I haven't gotten to fire it yet!! Anyone know of any ranges that don't require membership really close to peterborough? If nothing else I'll get myself over to MFL this weekend to give it a run through. Took it all apart to do a full cleaning etc already. I've heard these things can go forever without a full detail cleaning, anyone have a buckmark that can confirm this??

Nice gun and a good first gun. I have a Buckmark with a 4" barrel and can say that you are going to enjoy shooting this one. I have never detail stripped mine but simply clean what is accessable after each trip to the range.

Nice. There are guns as nice as a Browning, but you will NEVER go wrong with a Browning.

Have fun and be safe.

It was actually really simple to take apart and clean, except the rear sight screw was way too tight, in fact I bent the hex wrench they gave me into a twisted mess! [shocked] Using a better wrench from my tool set took it out with no bending though (the one included must have poor strength). The only problem I see with detail stripping it is that you have to remove the sight, or the scope if you have one. Which means re-zeroing every time you do this. Just about everything can be cleaned ok without taking it apart anyway, so I figure that is the way to go.

Congrats! I love my Bullseye Buckmark, but your's is prettier. That's a nice looking pistol. I love those grips.

You should be able to pull the barrel without pulling the scope or sight. I don't do it often, but it can be done.
