so I ordered a bunch of duty gear and (this) from interstate arms, they told me it was going to be 7 weeks for it (with night sights) or they could give me one w/fixed sights and night sights to put on, which is better because my friends a gun smith and can slap them on for me. so I was supposed to pick it up today @ 4 seasons but when I called they said they have not yet received it, so I called interstate and apparently there was a miss-communication and they never shipped it, so one of the guys there volunteered to drive it to 4 seasons for me! so I had it in time for firearms training, which was an hour and a half after I bought the gun and an hour drive!! so I made it in time to open the box, load up and shoot a little[grin]

- great people @ interstate arms and four seasons!

my picture quality on this computer is horrendous.

oh and my SER# starts with MAD hehehe.... which has earned the nickname "MAD DOGG" (just made that up now BTW)[rofl]

Nice weapon, the G23's a great duty gun. It's a bear to plink with though, my G19's better for that. It must be me getting old!

SF? I googled it, and it is either "Special Forces" or "Slim Frame". Both came back with pictures and description. Confusing.
Slim frame or short frame depending on who you talk to. But the overall length was reduced as was the grip well, it won't take standard G21 mags.

wikipedia said:
Glock 21SF.[9] The suffix "SF" denotes "short frame" in that the front-to-rear profile of the grip has been reduced by about 5 mm (0.2 in). The pistol was originally designed to compete in the now canceled US Military trials for a new .45-caliber pistol to replace the Beretta M9. It features an ambidextrous magazine release and an optional MIL-STD-1913 rail system along with a reduction in the size of the grip. The Glock 21SF is currently available in three versions: one with a Picatinny rail and ambidextrous safety and two with a Universal Glock rail available with or without the ambidextrous safety. All current 10 mm and .45-caliber Glock magazines are all being made with ambidextrous magazine release cutouts at the front of the magazines.

There is also a Glock21SF meaning "Special Forces", according to several posts on the first results page from Google.

It is a short frame. Glock moved the backstrap inward slightly. The 21SF will indeed take normal 21 mags depending on the mag release. 21SF's with the normal mag release will take every 21 mag ever made. Those with the ambi release require the newer style magazines that have a cut in the front of them rather than the side. All glock 21 mags now made will work in either model and i've heard rumors that many newer mags are shipping with both cuts in them regardless of caliber. Looks like Glock may start giving you the ambi option on others soon.
