My liberal mom contributes this one:

I just showed this page to my mother and thought I'd share it. It's commentary about the Star Spangled Banner by Isaac Asimov, one of the greatest science fiction authors who ever lived, and a fierce patriot (he was born in Russia but emigrated with his parents to the US)

I suspect that you'd have a much better shot with something from Lawrence Welk.

However... let's go a little farther back, shall we? I'm going to do this by memory, since my brother has the player piano roll that I learned this from...
It was on a Tuesday evening
at the home of Madge Malone.
There was quite a celebration
for her parents weren't home.
There were songs and witty stories,
and a bottle on the shelf
when up sprang Dan McGrew and said,
"Here's a song I wrote meself!"
"Sing it Dan!" "Righto, I will - "
Any guesses?
However... let's go a little farther back, shall we? I'm going to do this by memory, since my brother has the player piano roll that I learned this from...
It was on a Tuesday evening
