Haven't seen an update on how the hunt went but it couldn't have been very difficult. Every time I've driven down to the north rim they've been grazing on the road side.
Old World “true” buffalo (Cape buffalo and water buffalo) are native to Africa and Asia. Bison are found in North America and Europe. Both bison and buffalo are in the bovidae family, but the two are not closely related.
Couple furry cows take out a few tourists and all bets are off!
Maybe this will be the us version of an elephant hunt in Africa. A friend who lived in Rhodesia said someone calls, wants to hunt an elephant and a deal is struck. Goverment then finds an elephant that is "endangering" folks at the local watering hole and games on!
