If it's real I'd like to see what powder he was using.
This was 46.3gr of RL17."
Hmmm, 32 inch barrel, 230 gr. Berger bullets, special throat, silly MVs.
Sounds like a pretty unique set of parameters don't ya think? Not exactly a KTP or Four Seasons special.

Maybe one day they'll carry $2,000 and $3,000 rifles.
Most of the guys on the site were getting all amped up for the new Accuracy International rifle that would let you switch between .308, .338, and .300..... and it was $18K.

Here's the thread they have going on it

Not like trying to change the subject or anything.
For most normal rifles and ammunition the .308 runs out of gas at just about 1000 yards. I'm not saying that you can't hit targets beyond that, but the bullet is well subsonic at those ranges. 1000 yards is really at the edge of the envelope.
Don't rely on some crap that is posted on the internet. Do your own research, learn to use a good ballistics program that utilizes the correct drag function and invest in reference materials that will give you the information you need to make intelligent posts on the subject.

You made an absurd claim. When I called you out on it you said I was wrong. The stuff you posted was not even close to what your claim was and as pointed out by other posters, it was some foolishness with a guy shooting 32" barrels and 17% over book charges. When was the last time you even saw a 32" barrel on a rifle? I've only seen one.
I go out of my way not to post BS about the technical pieces of LR shooting and if you claim that I'm FOS, you best be prepared to back it up.
