New and “improved” gun laws. Hahaha

Well, in some states you do. This one happens to be one of them.
Wow, they placed a reasonable request to secure or secrete your firearms, that's insane!!
Would it kill you to maybe keep it out of sight? No, too easy, right. So, shame on you if you can't abide by simple rules.
I'd rather have a local Chief of Police issuing them.
More than likely they know you personally and are likely more apt to issue one to you, unless you are a complete a-hole. It could be some clown from the state who hates guns and refuses to issue one.
They had their shot .
The F*cked it up .
The Chief years ago in the next town over wouldn't even give you an application .
His mantra was "No one in this town besides my officers will have guns, see you in court."
If you could cough up the 1200 dollars it was going to cost you, you got your permit (because he always lost ), if you couldn't , tough shit.
There are still towns that they slow walk it to the point of insanity to make you give up.

Yes, absolutely. I would NOT obey an unlawful order. You don't have to.
The vibe question, I didn't insinuate anything. I said plainly, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Merely pointed out the fact that just about everyone has skirted the law in some way and got away with it. Smoking weed, public drinking, public urination, domestics, drinking and driving or just merely buzzed driving, cheated on taxes, ect. Didn't say they were criminals. Just said that we have all gotten away with something. Maybe you were a mommas boy or an Angel. I don't know. But I did have a lot of life experience.
As for D-Bags. Can you name me a profession that doesn't have any?? I'm waiting.
Sergeant. Took a stand I presume and corrected the D-bags attitude. Fine by me.
People get the balls busted when they don't like others telling them no, and refuse to do what they area asked and required by law to do. Like turn over your license and registration. Instead they debate, chastise, yell and call you a liar. Instead of just admitting they rolled through a stop sign or blew a red light. Because as we all know full well, there isn't one guilty person in jail. Just ask them.
So, Please.
So much wrong here.
There is still the Us vs Them just dripping from your response.
Everyone is a criminal .
I've been pulled over and My response has always be polite and calm ,calling the officer sir , not arguing and still I've had the cop being a d-bag and trying to start shit.
The officer that the Sargent tuned up didn't learn squat and was fired shortly after for doing the old "I think we can get you out of this ticket Miss. " deal.

A lot of us know law enforcement members personally so the "I'm in a higher class "shit just don't fly.
They drive drunk , do drugs , beat their wives and kids and steal just like the lower class peons.
One of my good friends before he passed away was BPD (Roxbury )for many years and the stuff he would tell me about what went on down there most people wouldn't even believe.

Protip: Nobody here is buying that excuse. In the past 4+ years there's a bunch of retreads that have appeared here, they left before because they couldn't take the heat (or got banned for trolling) then they come back thinking they're going to reinvent themselves somehow, but it never works. You are quite obviously one of these people. We've had so many of them I've honestly lost track, I'm sure one of the heuristics bloodhounds will tell me later who you are, probably moredweeb or one of his cohorts from "down there". [rofl]

There's nothing to "debate" about here, you are literally "part of the problem" based on the few things you've posted in this thread. [rofl]
I'm not Sherlock Holmes but I stayed in a Holiday Inn once.
The posting pattern seems just like him doesn't it ?
Plus bringing up the Read stuff unprompted .
Just saying.

Why would I do, that I like chatting with a bunch of Neanderthals, who can only see things one way. You opinion means absolutely nothing...just like a**h***s everyone has one. Going to stick around awhile and make some new friends...
If I was a betting man , I wouldn't take that one.

I can not believe one of you guys has given this gentleman an answer to his simple question (after 5 pages), which seems to be...

How does a LEO make a straw purchase for an off roster gun through an FFL?

May want to run that one by the DA first.🤣
Just wants to buy his bud a PDW, "you'd do the same if you had that exception!"😆

And the OP who started this dumpster fire is long gone; fortunately.

Awwww, shucks. He said he was gonna stick around make friends!

I corresponded with my Ma State Rep (Margaret Scarsdale) when they passed that crap last year. She said the final hurdle getting CoP buy in was making the exemption for current and former LEOs. I countered with the fact that they shouldn't be a protected class, having access that 'normal' citizens don't. She didn't like me applying that term at all, even though the legislation obviously makes them one.

Tell me his username isn’t just his PD and badge number…
Holy shit I think you're right. 34 years of service he said? I'm not going to link any records and expose them but it doesn't take a lot of Detective work to look it up. Must be a real Zingg-er to have publicly available information including 37 traffic violations over two years and two IA investigations. But that seems consistent for someone who feels they're above the law.

So that whole
For the record. This cupcake has done the job for 34 years without a complaint working in the toughest areas of the city.
was just another lie

Those are traffic citations he’s issued. Otherwise yes.

He also had this post:

Special? Yeah I guess, some of the guys do. It's not like any other job. You are on 24/7/365. You are bound by standards and rules and can be held accountable for all of your actions. Even minor stuff, like profanity. Conduct Unbecoming. Behavior while out drinking can impact you job when off duty.

Makes sense seeing the sustained complaint was for exactly that.

Anyways. I hope he found a nice optic for the rifle he won.
