I typically carry either a g19, with optic and light, or a non optic 365.

Never been a fan of the 365 beyond its convenience due to size. Even with a good belt and tenicor holster it didn’t carry great aiwb. Didn’t really enjoy shooting it either.

G19 is fine but not the most comfortable driving and printed enough that it’s not ideal for work, where I’m in people homes selling for my contracting biz.

A G43XMOS looked like the answer until I came across this Shadow Systems CR920XP.
After aftermarket mags and night sights the prices were pretty similar. The comp was icing on the cake.

Mags are proprietary and made by SS.
$30msrp, 15rd, with +1 baseplates available and 18rd mags about to be released. Really nice quality.

Put 325 rounds through it last weekend and I love this gun. Shoots really flat, dot never leaves the window, and feels like a bigger/heavier gun.

RomeoX enclosed direct mounts with a perfect co-witness. Can be dot, circle or circle/dot reticle. Weighs less than the optic plate it replaced.

Holster is a Hilliker Aren Elite.
Comfy, conceals well.
Fits great, they use actual guns rather than blue guns to create their molds.
Great biz to work with as well.

I’m in the same boat, g19/p365 and have the same feelings about shootability vs concealability. I was going to get a g43x as well but I am going to look at this. Mag price isn’t terrible especially compared to the aftermarket 15 rd g43x mags.

ETA how loud does the comp make it?

Try a different aiwb holster.
I use a KUSIAK aiwb at the 4 o'clock position, dont like the aiwb position sitting down a lot.
The 4 o'clock position is very comfortable, the P365X doesn't print AT ALL.

Have you run it yet?

I want one of these but I'm waiting until the bugs get worked out

Yeah, 325 rounds so far.
Cleaned/lubed and straight to range.
Ran a mag of gold dots and the rest Lawman, all 124g.

4 failure to return to battery between the first 2 mags. Zero issues after that. 100% faith in it, carrying it today.

Most of the issues I’ve seen were due to 115g or light loads. SS says 124g minimum due to comp.

Man I'm really surprised when I hear negative reports on the 365, I dumped my G19 for 365xl

Historically I shoot the G19 low left no matter what I do but the 365xl I am lights out with.

I’ve owned a lot of sigs but just don’t get along with their striker guns. I looked at the macro but ultimately wanted to stay glockish and liked the barrel mounted comp.

Nice, does it change the grip angle or is it still a glock style angle? I would think it would be different if they had to design new mags.

Do you ever shoot from contact or close retention? There is no goddamn way I would want to carry gun with a f***ing compensator on it. 🤣 Close in drills are hot and spicy enough as it is without adding that stupidity to the equation.

This is true, I forgot about that. I shot a lot of close contact in shiv works ECQC and it was miserable even with an uncompensated Glock 26.

I have a CR920, MR920, and both versions of the 43
Honestly I just carry the MR mostly
If I pocket I will carry the 43 or CR but the 43 feels like a brick now
I never had any issues with the shadow system stuff

My favorite carry is the 365XL. OWB at 3 o'clock. Small enough to conceal well with a grip large enough to control well. I'd like to carry a bazooka if I could hide it. :D

I do, and ran some today with both this and my 19. The SS was definitely more punishing but certainly not to a level that it would concern me in a brief defensive situation. For a long drill session I’ll just use the 19, the muscle memory will transfer over.

Held a paper plate about 10” above the comp and shot 5 rounds. Very little powder residue and i didn’t feel any hitting my neck or face when shooting with the gun pulled right to my chest during the drills.

I was alone at the outdoor range today.
Louder for sure but still just a 9mm.
Negligible with arms extended, bearable when close in.

The downsides certainly don’t offset the benefits imo.

@jkelly1229 another 300 flawless rounds.

I love my macro comp..outside the stupid trigger and shitty grip

I want to try one of the shad systems.

I have a psa dagger comp that I thought absolutely sucked donkey balls to shoot.

At this point tho we are about to see an explosion of these 1.5 stacks flood the market.

Kimber...canik just released their 17 rounder versions.

So I'm looking forward to the compensated ones coming out
