I traded in a lens last week and got a new AF-S Micro Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED.

Thought I'd try it out in the reloading room.
Conditions were not great as the lighting was flourescent.
Here's a few pics.

Thanks for the compliments - I am taking a photo workshop and I think I am going to do a project "From the loading bench". Hopefully it won't freak the teacher out.

I love Macro Lenses but good ones are pricey. I bought a Lester-Dine 105mm, 1:1 ALs Zoom
for my D70 on eBay a couple of years ago for $160. Awesome lens and the manual part
didn't phase me as I do all my macro work manually. I just got a macro rail kit from Adorama
that I haven't tried out yet.

You should do great with that lens for your workshop. If you haven't got a white balance
card yet, get one. you will need some photo editing software to use it but you will find it
makes your life so much easier when you can put the color balance concerns on the back
burner when you are taking pics. Great work! I love the symmetry and the color is pretty
good as well.

If you wanna do macro, I'll let you play with my bellows.
