Here's two interesting ones.

As most you you know I am a big sucker for shiny nickel finish guns. Once I saw minesbroken nice Colt 45 I knew I wanted one just like his but I also wanted a vintage 1911 that had some character. I recently lucked into these.

1977 Colt Lawman MKIII 2" Nickel - From what I understand these are kinda hard to find in this finish and the grips are wicked particular. It's quite large. Larger than the K frame smiths and about 1 1/2 times heavier. This thing is a brickhouse. It suffers from some storage issues with some corrosion but otherwise it's tight and quite the handsome one.

1915-1919 Colt 1911 R.A.F refinished in Nickel - This is a pretty cool one with an interesting past. At some point in it's life the blue finish was redone in nickel. It's also part of the 10,000 Colt 1911 that were made for the British for WWI and re-issued in WWII. This one was chambered in .455 Webley marked .455 "ELEY" on the magazine. Unfortunately the military and some of the proof markings were ground off. Who knows what the circumstances were for this one. The original barrel has been replaced by a regular GI 45 barrel. The collectability factor is low because of all this but it will make for a great vintage shooter. It also sports some pretty cool stag (real) grips.

If anyone knows any more information about these I'd like to know as I am currently trying to do some additional research.

Sorry pic quality sux compared to some of the other guys on the board.
