Removing the flag leaves a gap next to the hammer that could let schmutz into the works. I watched a video where the lug on the flag is ground off. The lug is the part that locks the hammer in place. It seems like a good option as it leaves the gun in its original appearance. Installing the plug kit without removing the flag still leaves the lug in place which could engage the hammer and still cause a malfunction. F*ck Hillary.
