Ordered My Upper

Got off the phone a little while ago with Pete from AR15 sales and he said he'd get things rolling so I can get my upper ASAP. Standard A2 Rock River Arms upper for $435 with work done at RRA to make it Mass. compliant for $35 and RRA will ship it to me rather than to him first so I can get it as quick as possible. I just wanted something basic and affordable for my first AR hence the reason behind the Standard A2. I've read good things on here from people dealing with Pete and the price he quoted me was better than dealing with RRA direct.
It'll be a long wait, not so much in actual time but what it will feel like.
Hopefully I'll squeeze in a pic in the January New Acquisitions thread with it.

It's hard to beat an AR15/A2 platform for all around anything.

BRD (Black Rifle Disease) here it comes. The A2 is great, then you get an Aimpoint for the carry handle. You convince yourself you like the iron sites because the Aimpoint on the carry handle just doesn't feel right. So then you endup getting a flat top with 16" barrel because you have the Aimpoint just doing nothing. It goes on and on.... LOL
