If your policies are destroying a state youe are in charge of.....

Does it reflect poorly on one's performance review or is the standard raise and a pension bump still the norm?

I know that the National Guard gets called out when there's rioting or a serious breakdown in order, like after a hurricane or earthquake, so I guess things must be extremely bad in Albuquerque. So bad that the police can't handle the problem.

My question would be how did things deteriorate and why didn't the Governor address it before it got that bad? 🤔

It's bc she couldn't go through with the ban on carrying guns in public 🤣

don't we have a NES guy on the ground in Albuquerque? What's his take.
Sky. He’s around. Maybe he’ll chime in. I understood Central Ave to be like many streets in major cities, ie its runs the distance of the city and has good parts and bad parts. Presumably it’s really bad in spots but same as pretty much every major city.

My older cousin. . . . pushing 60 now, was a BHS cheerleader back in the 80's. The whole family was just big Mr. Brockton at the time - all because BHS would win "the Stupidbowl" of HS football regularly. I guess it was somewhat safer.

Back in the late 70's, we'd go with them to the BHS pool on the weekends. It seemed safe at the time. Do they still have the pool??????

The Guard is in hte city(ies) because Clinton-era policiing standards are ignored. We're a kinder-gentler nation that allows crime to go unfettered. That works, right?

I was spending about 6 weeks per year in ABQ from 2010-2020 when I was doing consulting work. Downtown on either side of I-25 was always a shithole, but there were some great hole in the wall Mexican restaurants and Marble Brewery. Definitely not somewhere I would go unarmed, but I never had any problems when I was there. Downtown ABQ is an odd mix of Hispanics, Mexicans, and Indians (Navajo mostly, but other tribes too). There are many proud people, but they don’t seem to have the motivation to improve their station in society. Lots of people begging on the street corners, plenty of evidence of gangs. People didn’t seem particularly hostile to a guero like me.
