Hello,
I have a Pardini K12 and mostly used one cylinder about 60% of the time. I went to use it 6 mo ago and it was leaking when I screwed it into the gun. I called Pardini and they wanted $10 for 1 o-ring and $15 shipping. For four o-rings it was going to be $57.83
If you have a K12, a tiny bit of lube behind the intake hole of the pistol is advised to keep the lube o-ring in the cylinder from breaking up. But eventually this issue will popup.
The Paardini guy I spoke with was very helpful. He said DON"T lube past the air intake on the gun because contaminants will affect the internals of the pistol and need servicing. DON'T put grease on the replacement o-ring where the cylinder meets the post of the gun.
I searched for an alternative even though Pardini didn't advise it..... They didn't think I would find a replacement.
At an engineering trade show I met someone from the Apple Rubber Co. (below) I told them my problem and He suggested a couple of o-rings. The one that worked was size AS568-007 Material:90BN.
See Enclosed PIX...
Step 0) Release all air pressure in the cylinder.
Getting the locking ring out of the cylinder was a nightmare. It is WAY over torqued. To get to the locking ring I had to grind down the sides of a very large flat screwdriver to get it to fit down in the recess of the cylinder then place the driver in a vice. (Not the air cylinder) I brought the cylinder to the clamped screwdriver and (Righty-tighty-lefty-lucy) loosened the nut. The blue o-ring crumpled out. I cleaned it out with non scratching tools and fit in the Apple Rubber part without lubing anything. I replaced both o-rings in my two cylinders. (One o-ring is needed for each cylinder.)
So Far-So-Good. 6mo later......
