It was at one time. Sadly, this is just a dummy gun my old man put together with a parts kit and fake steel receiver. It's quite a bit longer than the original rifle was, and it weighs a ton. Just something fun to bring out of the closet when we have quests over.
 
Nice Mauser. I've heard stories of those being more reliable than M16's as far as jamming because of loose tolerances? Hows the workmanship on that thing? They look like quality

Believe it or not, it's a nail driver. At least when my cousin shoots it it is... Last time I fired it was probably 25 years ago at some tin cans. (The bayonet is also very accurate [smile])

Here is a 1988 vintage Browning High Power that I sent to Gregg Derr to have new sights and C&S safety installed, Mag disconnect removed, and the trigger tuned. I added some Spegel grips.
