The Remington pumps are good reliable hunting rifles.
They are not sub moa target guns.
I would put my money into a bolt gun.
I've had both and sold the pump.
Personal preferences may also play a big part in your choice.

Saponi; For what purpose? They are a fine underated weapon. Free floated barrel, quite accurate. love mine.

cmb I will be useing the gun for deer and bear mostly. It will be a 30-06. Hope to hunt caribou this coming year maybe elk also.

It should be fine for what you want. At some point you may want to have the trigger smoothed up. Other than the trigger having some creep, they are fine. I use my 3006 for deer, moose. Do a google search of the "Benoits and model 760 and 7600" You will find quite a bit of info.
